Blackouts and Gold Statues

They are asking us to register with the goverment.
Not asking, they are now saying that anyone who doesn’t, will have criminal charges… and they are saying we need to carry our registration with us. I am not sure how strongly this can be compared to history.
Who would actually follow through with this? What will happen to those that don’t? What happens when the only ones that are registered are the ones who have already gone through the immigration process? They have all our information. Some of this had already been policy but the sentiment renewed in our timeline is scary. What will they do?
We have the first nationwide economic blackout protest tomorrow. Money talks. I’m seeing people, that have never cared to be involved before, make changes to their habits. Like my mom is saying “lo que no hicimos por el riñon, lo hacemos por la patria” in regards to the massive Coca-Cola boycott in Mexico (the worlds largest consumers of Coke per capita); there is a change taking place.
My husband got a text from his super MAGA cousin telling him that the “Trump Gaza” post was embarrasing. The tide is turning. Three immigrants have died in detention so far. The tide isn’t turning fast enough.
The prevailing strategy is to make his supporters understand how they too will be affected. A pathos aproach. Logic and credentials don’t work. Let them be hurt… what about everyone else? He fired high military officials. The courts are shooting down a lot of the orders. Laws are being proposed.
One step forward, one step to the side, an ugly dance.
But it is a time to dance…
‘If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” ‘ — Daniel 3:17–18
…before peace comes a time for war. What time is it for you?
