My Story

"I do not wish that I had done other than I have"

 - Barry Stevens

Hi, I'm Rocio Flores, I am a peer specialist, a writer, an artist, and an advocate as well as a mother and wife with a passion for carving out a life filled with purpose and authenticity.

I am determined to live a different type of life.

Driven by the American Dream, I started my own business and committed myself to achieving success, albeit in a non-typical way. My definition of success is defined by homeschooling my son,  working from home, and living a life where I can advocate for people who do not have a voice.

I plan to endulge in my passions and use my skills to make a differences and I also plan to continue growing my huge library!

My journey began in Mexico, where I was born before moving to the United States as a child. Raised amidst the hustle and bustle of city life, I later found myself settling into the serenity of a more rural Colorado town where there isn’t a lot to do, but the fun is found in engaging hobbies and time with loved ones. There I met my husband and now have my first child!

Life hasn't been without its challenges. From childhood trauma to domestic struggles and financial hardships, I've faced my fair share of obstacles. But through it all, I've remained steadfast in my pursuit of a life aligned with my values and dreams. I've created a grandiose yearning for a life filled with love, peace, and happiness among the chaos and disarray of my surroundings and my own mind.

Throughout my life, I've faced numerous challenges – from childhood trauma and mental health struggles to societal expectations. Yet, through each trial, I've emerged stronger and more determined to live a life true to my values. My faith has been a guiding light, providing me with strength and clarity as I navigate the complexities of the world.

My path has been one of self-discovery and growth. Along the way, I've grappled with mental health challenges, including OCD, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. But through therapy, medication, and sheer determination, I've learned to navigate these struggles with resilience and steadfastness.

My journey has been marked by a deep commitment to personal development. From studying psychology to exploring avenues of entrepreneurship and coaching, I've sought to understand the intricacies of the human experience and empower others to embark on their own paths of growth. As I embarked on my journey of personal growth, I discovered the profound connection between self-discovery and social justice. I learned that to truly be oneself, one must also stand up for what they believe in and advocate for a more just and equitable society. Through my experiences, I've come to understand that true authenticity lies in living a life aligned with one's values and principles – a message I am deeply passionate about sharing with others.

My upbringing instilled in me a deep sense of resilience and compassion. But it wasn't until I ventured into the realm of personal growth that I truly began to understand the power of embracing my authentic self.

Okay, that's the nice and pretty version :) To learn more about my more turbulent upbringing and my experiences with childhood trauma, domestic abuse, poverty, and mental health, listen to the audio below.

I want to work with people who are weird; unafraid to stand out, to speak  up for what they care about, to not fit the status quo.
I want to work with people who are learners; always open to knowing more, understanding more, and questioning the world around them.
I want to work with people who are good; always caring about others, choosing empathy, and hoping to make a change.

My Mission

"Insofar as the individual allows himself to be as he is, he is inclined to allow others to be also."

- Wilson Van Dusen

I want to help people openly thrive and engage in their environment without compromising their values or principles and while embracing their personalities and experiences.

As a coach I  want people to understand the decision making process, to understand the realities and challenges that come from making those decisions, and to ensure that all decisions taken lead to a meaningful, impactful, and purpose-driven life.

Sometimes, we just don't know everything, we lack awareness, and it takes someone or something to help us see what we are blind to. I've worked with therapists, pastors, and coaches, delved into plenty of books, taken courses, and done programs to help me learn about my Thoughts, Behaviors, Habits, Emotions, and the links between them. Humans are complicated creatures but we are also incredibly capable of molding the world around us. I have learned proven methods to taking back control of my thought processes, emotional responses, and formed habits.

I've done the work, sometimes the hard way, and now I can share my journey and I can help others through theirs so that they don't struggle as much!

Picture yourself in a space where authenticity reigns supreme – where your unique journey is honored, and your voice is heard. My mission is simple yet profound: to provide a safe haven for individuals to explore their true selves, embrace their uniqueness, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth.

The very reason I help people with these issues is because I understand the total overwhelming and confusing nature of them.

I'm not here to pitch you quick fixes or empty promises. Instead, I offer a supportive community where real stories are shared, real challenges are faced, and real transformations take place. Whether you're navigating the complexities of mental health, seeking guidance in personal or professional development, or simply craving a space to be heard, I want to provide a welcoming home to be yourself!
