I had to put these last 2 weeks together...

A week like this week would have broken me in the past.

I would have had a panic attack each day. I wouldn't have taken on any tasks. I would have retreated to bed and caved into my despair.

A death. My uncle died. He lived with us since I was 12. My dad became like a second dad. He was only a few years older than me. It just doesn't feel real right now. I don't know how to process this yet. I'll feel this later.

The mundane. I have to manage calls and appointments. Speech therapies and Habitat surveys and a bathroom repair. Call the coroner. Ger funeral quotes & sign waivers. Call the electrician. Call about health insurance. Banl appointment. Everything has to be done this week. I can do it. I have to.

My DACA was due this week. Can't let that go. Not with the state of this country now. They want to ki ll us for not having paperwork done that they don't even know how to fill out. It has to be done. This isn't a ball I can drop.

The final copy of my book is due this week. "This is a blessing", "when can I add the Forward?", "such nice words, do they mean it?", "am I letting Kal watch too much tv?", "bills are due Friday", "don't forget to reply and say thank you"...

Little kids shouldn't have to sit in so many waiting rooms. My poor baby has done so great. Lord, let this be a blip in his memory. I don't want my despair to be his image of me.

His birthday needs planning. It can wait. My dad's birthday is this week. So are my cousins'. What a terrible week for this to happen. How do you make special a pain like this. Porque Dios? My grandparents are coming. Please keep them safe coming here. Hold their hearts through this.

What else do I need to handle? What can I skip. Where can I ask for help? Cancel that appointment. Reschedule. Keep church! Did I eat? Take my meds. Go to sleep. It's just another tough week. At least I don't have a job. Love on my family. Ask for help. Take it. Ask for hugs. Breathe them in. Cry. I got this. We got this.

God's got me through this.

He did save me.

He'll save us all through this.
